Work: Data Architecture & Analysis.

Data analysis, data architecture, implementation, tag management, specification, online marketing, eCommerce, technical SEO, consulting…a few terms that describe my daily work.
Working at Germany’s biggest TV brand my daily work involves a lot of the colorful creative strategies and creations a data analyst needs to handle. My focus is on implementation and data architecture – solution design in modern words. I debug, refactor, specify, develop & concept data environments across channels, departments and firms. Key competence is web & mobile analytics, though nowadays we are talking about omnichannel data aggregated and enriched in complex data environments to gain meaningful insights from customer data & behaviour. Biggest challenge: enable the various marketing, BI, entertainment, IT, development, product departments across the brand portfolio to actually use the data in a meaningful way. Designing big data environments, data pipelines or similar environments is challenging, though big fun!

Additionally I have a few bigger firms I freelance for – usually it’s analytics & tag management concepts, deployments or consulting (online) marketing departments on designing campaign structures or analytics setups. Spare time: Race cycling & more.

Once I have had enough of gazing at numbers and screens, I grab my bike and go for a decent workout.

The best way to find the right balance is to take the time and concentrate on something different. Endurance sport is one very effective strategy to free ones mind of daily clutter.
