HAMBURG, St. Pauli

St Pauli FahneCurrently I live in Hamburg, Germany. Right in the middle of it – the creative center of the world for most popular design brands and creative agencies: St. Pauli near the well-known “Reeperbahn”. My friends never believed me, when I moved here a few years ago. It took ages to explain it to everyone…Anyhow – it’s a colorful place to stay at – your chances are high one runs into some kind of drunk, freak or drugged chap, swearing in various languages nobody can understand.

Various festivals during summer season make this place rather lively. No way can one find a parking space – especially if some event is on. Even if a parking space is found – you’re bound to be tugged without warning. No good. Although living here was big fun – and I really do miss my collegues I used to live with – nowadays I look for some more peace and quiet. The Reeperbahn is just far too touristy…It’s a bit of a pain sometimes. Scene bars are not very far – a few kilomteres away at the Sternschanze or in Altona center one can Hang out nicely. Fantastic bars and restaurants around there.
